What to Expect
We are currently in a temporary space, a movie theater. The theater is open to us prior to normal business hours on Sunday morning, so we have the whole place to ourselves. There is plenty of parking and the entire building, including our meeting areas, is ADA compliant. Our new facility is slated to be completed this spring (2017).
Many people arrive early and spend time together chatting prior to service. Our services start with a brief prayer at around 10:15 am and we sing some contemporary Christian songs. Our music ranges from hymns to more modern songs you’d hear on the radio. During worship time, there is usually a prayer time for people needing some extra TLC. Upon conclusion of our worship time, we share some announcements about church events and other related information. After announcements, we worship with giving (offering) back to God and usually there is a special video or performance. Most Sundays at this point, the younger children are dismissed to attend Children’s Church. A teaching message is then brought forth that last about a hour. We conclude the morning by a little bit more worship and some closing announcements and prayer. As we are supposed to be out of the theater space by noon, we remove all the equipment from the theater and many people then gather in the meeting room across the hall prior to going home.
Once our new building is completed, our schedule is expected to be more relaxed.
